Meet Crew...

We are over the moon with share with you our third little blonde boy, Crew.  I can't believe it has taken me almost 7 weeks to update my blog, but 3 kids 5 and under its hard to keep the fridge stocked  and the laundry some what caught up.  Crew arrived two weeks before my due date.  I was trying to wait atleast three more days but I had the feeling he would come the weekend he did.  Everyone was on fall break...including my OB:)  My water broke at a bouncy house place which makes me laugh.  I called my husband who put me straight to voicemail.  So I loaded the boys up in the van and drove home!  David called me back and then met me at home.  I attempted to finish up packing my bag and found that David had already put it in the car.  I remember I "had" to put Bennett down for his nap before we left for the hospital.  I think I cried the entire time I sang to him knowing it would be his last moments as my "baby."  He loved being the baby and I loved babying him.  I then came down stairs and hugged Ethan bye.  He kissed my tummy and said "I can't wait to meet you baby!"  Yep- more tears!  In the meantime, David is sitting in the car anxiously waiting on me.  I think knowing its your last pregnancy and last baby...I wasn't in rush.  Yes,  I was exhausted from all the steroids I had been on, but I was soaking up all the sweet kicks.

I was shocked to have a long, slow labor but overall everything went well.  My first thought after he was born was just how blonde he looked in the open bed warmer across the room.  He was one of the blondest babies I had ever seen.  Crew had to transition in the NICU for a few hours after he was born.  David stayed with him and I found myself alone for 2 hours just sitting in the dark.  It was the strangest 2 hours of my life.  Exhausted, concerned, elated, and everyone was asleep as it was in the wee morning hours.  I was dying to tell my friends and family about our newest sweet boy.

Later that day my mom brought the boys to meet their little brother.  That was one of the sweetest moments.  We went home the next day and life never skipped a beat.  By the third baby you have a baby and two days later are in car rider line at school and making lunches.

We have been blessed by our friends, family, and neighbors who have shown more love for us than one could imagine.  We are still over the moon to have three little boys to love on.

i promise you'll love it...

pajamas

my mother in law introduced me to Hanna Andersson pajamas.  They are made from
organic cotton and I've yet to find a better pajama that hold up as well as they are soft.  Serena and Lily has Hanna Andersson sleepers in their adorable Serena and Lily prints.  I was thrilled to find the sleeper I had been coveting on sale today!  Go buy one...they last forever since there is no feet in them!  I promise you'll love them!

coconut oil

When I was on a strict dairy and soy free diet I adored coconut oil and butter for cooking.  It was only after a random little chat with a fellow nurse who is graduating to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner did I discover that coconut oil is now a commonly prescribed for kiddos for multiple reasons....eczema and so forth.  Ethan has been struggling with cradle cap or seborrheic dermatitis {yes my 4 year old with tons of hair} since he was two years old.  Dermatologist prescribed various shampoos and mouse with steroids which I never was quite comfortable putting on his head.  So I dug out the coconut oil out of my pantry and dabbed a little on the spots, shampooed, and combed.  Guess whose scalp looks perfect for the first time in years!  Go a head and slather it on yours hands too....this stuff is a miracle worker!  And that is coming from a pediatric nurse...I promise you'll love it.

music

When my boys are fussy whether in the car or at home I put on kid music.  However after four years of Wee Sing I needed a change.  Thanks to Pandora I recently stumbled across Elizabeth Mitchell.  Finally something that might soothe my mind along with the kids!  I promise you'll love her!

lashes...

I was backing up my photos today and came across this photo of the boys.  I couldn't help but to notice their long eyelashes.  I'm not sure where they got them, but I am certain the ladies will love them one day.  I know I sure do!

fancy a stripe?

it's that time again...time to shop for the boys spring/summer clothes.  I'm fairly certain everything I've ordered so far down to their socks is stripes!  No surprise I am trying to find the time to paint my laundry room walls, what else, STRIPES!

Look Whooo's One!

Saturday we celebrated Bennett's First Birthday with an Owl Party.  Bennett's very favorite thing is his owl lovie so that is where the owl theme came into place.  It was a small party of family and close friends, which was perfect for my shy baby!  After guests arrived we had Sara of Music Time with Sara   come.  We played instruments, sang, and danced...what every good party should have!  It really made for a sweet first birthday.  Everyone then sang Happy Birthday to Bennett and watched him rub cake all in his face and ears.  After a quick bath Bennett opened his gifts and sent his guests off with a party favors of maracas and whistles.  Thank you for everyone who came to celebrate our sweet Bennett.

Bennett at 9 and 10 Months...

oh my handsome Bennett is growing oh so fast.  everyday I think "cherish this baby while he is still a baby."  It is no secret that I adore having a wee one in the house.  Bennett has just made our little family  so complete and full of love.  He is a momma's boy and I love it.

9 and 10 Months were big months for him...crawling, teeth, standing, eating yummy food, loving to play.  I could go on and on.  He has learned to scream at Ethan if a toy is taken away.  It is hilarious!  He can "four wheel drive crawl" over anyone or anything.  He is pulling up to standing and cruising.  Starting to take a step or two with his walker.
