finally...it's Fall!

I'm not sure if it is shopping for fall clothes for the boys, the crisp days
where everyone has a smile, or the fairy tale pumpkins...
whatever it is it makes me happy.

Happy First Day of Autumn

Gentry's Farm...

one of my favorite things to do in the fall is to visit my favorite pumpkin patch.
I always think back to the years before and think about how life
has changed since we first came here with an itty bitty Ethan.

i love how thanksgiving comes right after fall...
it is during the fall that I start to slow down and see
how much I have to be grateful for.

finally its fall...

its here...its finally here!  Its no secret fall is my favorite season and
with it this year I have become unproductive.  I can't seem to keep
up with the laundry and grocery shopping.  Instead I am
potting mums, taking the kids to the zoo, fall shopping, watching too
much tv (our new fav), and taking the boys on walks.

Last weekend we celebrated two birthdays at a local vineyard.  I brought
They were pretty yummy if I say so myself.

I recently made these Nutella brownies which seem to be a hit with the kids and adults.
they were perfect for a neighborhood grill out!  Just grab and go.

I have had too much fun ordering the boys fall clothes.  I shop online and only
with a promo codes!  I saved 35% off everything I ordered from Gap Kids.  I must
say I can't get enough of their colored jeans for the boys.  However,
mini Boden hold my wallet in their hands!  They are my all time fav.

slow moving mama....

The last few weeks I've been secretly dreading falling back into our fall routine...rushing through breakfast, packing lunches, getting in the car to realize the highlight of my morning {coffee} is now cold. Did I mention he only goes to school three days a week? Oh, and lets factor in soccer, swim lessons, and ISR.  What will come of me when he starts kindergarten? I suppose that is why I'm savoring the slow moving mornings and keeping my boys on our own agenda ----- play dough.   I must admit that maybe my home school mama friends have figured a little something out!

fall fun recap...

Here is a little recap of just some of the fall fun we've had.  We kicked off fall with our annual trip to Gentry Farms.  This was the first year that we were bundled up and still freezing.  I kept thinking of the first time we took Ethan to the pumpkin patch and I was so excited to take Bennett this year...our littlest pumpkin:)

can you tell I have a migraine in this picture??

As room-mom for Ethan's class, I am responsible for hosting the Halloween Party.  The kiddos dressed up, ate treats, made skeletons, and played pin the smile on the the skeleton.  It was lots of fun to see Ethan in his class with all of the friends.

We had a pumpkin carving party in our neighborhood.  It was so much fun....we had chili, made smores, carved pumpkins, and mingled with friends.  What a great time!  We are blessed to have neighbors who have turned into such great friends.

Ethan was really into spider man this year.  I have no idea how he knows about spider man, but lets just say he was really into it.  I think all 3 year boys are right now  He is definitely turning from a toddler into a boy.  Every time he put that suit on....he transforms into this guy:

trick or treating....he ran the entire time like he has been doing this for years:)

pumpkin spice...

Well fall is here in all its glory in Tennessee, my favorite time of year.  Everyone in our neighborhood has gone all out with their mums, pumpkins, and Halloween spooks on their front porch.  Everytime Ethan goes outside he returns home with leaves for everyone...they just happen to be the one's that aren't so pretty lets say:)

We have a weekend planned full of fun fall things.  I have lost my voice to to laryngitis, which means it will be super fun keeping up with my 3 year old at these events without the ability to yell or speak in general for that matter.  However, I can't wait to put these little booties on Bennett to keep his tosies warm!  Happy Fall ya'll!
