Style Me Pretty...

I can't help but to think back to this time last year and our family was prepping for a huge wedding.  While the wedding may not have been large in size, it was a big deal to us to have every single one of us in the family in the wedding and involved.  The wedding was a week event of family time and celebration.  Recently my sister's wedding was featured in little well known blog Style Me Pretty.  You can read the article here.  You should check out the cute shaggy haired little blonde boy in the suspenders!  We had so much fun preparing and celebrating that week.  Hard to believe Whitney and Jon will be celebrating their first anniversary soon.

The last few weeks I've been secretly dreading falling back into our fall routine...rushing through breakfast, packing lunches, getting in the car to realize the highlight of my morning {coffee} is now cold. Did I mention he only goes to school three days a week? Oh, and lets factor in soccer, swim lessons, and ISR.  What will come of me when he starts kindergarten? I suppose that is why I'm savoring the slow moving mornings and keeping my boys on our own agenda ----- play dough.   I must admit that maybe my home school mama friends have figured a little something out!

This week has been a little stressful.  My dad has been in the hospital for what I like to call a little "heart tune up."  Today I was running a few errands solo and decided to call home to see if Ethan would wanna come to the grocery store with me....just us two.  It is amazing at how having a little 1-1 time with an incredibility funny, joyous 3 year old will do for you:)  The things he says...has you laughing and smiling at every other sentence lately!

We recently hosted an engagement party for my sister-in-law Whitney and her fiance Jon in our backyard.  The couple invited their family and close friends.  The party was catered by Moe's which is a favorite of the bride-to-be.  We had a margarita machine to top off the Mexican food.  The cake was from Puffy Muffin and was delicious!   The flowers done by Accent Florist.  After dinner and cake we toasted the couple with several glasses of champagne.  While the bride-to-be's father delivered a toast filled with laughs, the groom-to-be's mother had a toast that was sentimental.  The favors were cake pops made to look like a bride (vanilla) and groom {chocolate}.  The invite was found on Etsy along with the paper straws and large balloons.  The night ended with many empty bottles and laughs.  The couple are planning their big day next June where they will marry in Rosemary Beach...a favorite vacation spot of our family.

Today we welcomed my third niece into the world...

she is absolutely perfect.  

Walking into that hospital room today I immediately when back into time

thinking of the days when her sisters were born and when 

my own boys were born.  Magical days that seemed like yesterday.

My sister-in-law Whitney just got engaged!  We are so happy for her and her new fiance Jon.  Isn't this pic of the proposal cute or what?  Cheers to dress shopping and planning a beautiful wedding.  Yay for family weddings!
